yeah totally agree (shame about the tags). it certainly looks like the real deal. has anyone emailed to find out how many kmhs books reserve etc??,at least it still has engine #s and its HSV build and I/D plates, i figure at 65k would be a good buy price, be interesting what it goes for,

Looks like he now has it as buy now for $55K, you got to wonder what happened with the previous bidding, possible insider involvement as the price went higher than this?

The paint looks really dull to me on that car.... It ended at $55,300 with reserve not met.
It's back up:

Buy it now $55,000.

You can get a replacement tag for it from HSV can't you? I think it says HSV on it rather than SV though

Hey guys,
I'm seriously hunting down a walky to buy and I had the opportunity to check this one out (including a test drive). Excluding the work done to the engine and exhaust system the walky seemed to be original and complete (minus the compliance tags of course), i.e. checking the undercarriage, suspension etc and general parts on the car.
The walky is "good" condition, but not at the level I could handle. So, personally if had the opportunity to buy that car I would probably have to spend min 20K on the restore.
Anyways, to cut a long story short the seller has decided not sell – don’t blame him either, when I eventually get my walky I won’t be selling it!!!
So unfortunately for me the search continues.
Cheers.

I would say, from the amount of times it was on ebay, he never intended to sell, just was testing the waters so to speak to see what a walky with missing tags would fetch.
My opinion only though.

agreed. I spoke to the seller and he 'was selling it for a friend'........
The seller seemed to be very keen to sell (yes, and selling for a friend as he has an ebay account). I had a look at the car on a weekday and the seller took the day off. So could only assume he was serious.
The seller commented that he was being stuffed around with other potential buyers and if I was not going to buy the car he was not going to sell it.
I didn’t leave a deposit on the day as I really wanted to confirm the legitimacy of the car i.e. VN, engine and J number before any transaction.
Then by the weekend - seller sent sms that he was not selling.
It will be interesting to see if this car comes up for sale again??? I believe the seller is trying to get the tags re-issued for the car.
Hope a walky within reach of my budget comes up – although the walkys up for sale at 130K/150K are worth it, it’s a little too much for me :-)
