Hi Guys/Gals,
Just joined up to the site dedicated to the best Aussie car ever built!
Dont be fooled by my user name, as I own more rotaries than I do walkys;)
I own No 197 which was purchased brand new by my Father on 08/08/88. I drove it home on my P's !:D I bought it off him in 1999 for a lot less than its worth now:D:D
Anyway its done about 185K (was my mums shopping car for a while there). It was stolen and recovered in 1997 hence it has nice 2 pack paint which is still as good as when it was sprayed. Put the 17" AJR's on it at that time coz didnt get the wheels back.
I thought I'd post up a vid I took when I was tuning it a couple of weeks back. Its still the OEM 304 block rebuilt (nothing oversize) about 12 years ago. Its got VN Grp A heads on it flowed to 500hp, biggest hydraulic cam I could get and std (8.4:1) comp. With a plug in E6GM Haltech ECU makes 194 rwkW @ 6600. limiter is at 7000:D running 3.9 gears now also so it should be good for a 12 sec pass. I might find out if we ever get a drag strip running again in adelaide:(.
