Got back yesterday and i was suprised to have only spotted two genuine walkies. Build 95 an 696. There were a couple of fakes but i only saw two genuine ones. This alone tells me that with there popularity and current scarcity, demand will stay strong for many years to come. Many other makes and models had several examples driving around but not many walkies. Are the owners of these cars on here?

How was the summernats this year...by the looks of the pictures posted on other forums, there appears to be less of the 'put on a set of mags and have the car lowered with spoilers' then previous years.

Still the same ole traders pusher there gear I suppose?

Did #095 have leather interior?

I was told that this car did, and got an email a few years ago from the owner saying it did, but the front seats had been replaced with std walky velour ones, and they didn't know if it was factory or not.

I would love to know if it did, and what colour the leather was, in comparison to mine.

Yeah it was good. Usual crap with drunk people not respecting cars but not as bad as the media are making out. walkie 95 had cloth trim im sure. It had cloth on the glove box calais style with its number stitched in. The actual glove box badge was not fitted. It was in good nick with wear in the usual places. It had i think 20,000 klm ?????. It had a bit of wear in the usual places and i think it had a vn group a steering wheel and maybe a different gear knob. Walkie 696 was i believe to be the better car. Very clean with 70,000 klm. But both were very nice examples really.

I am the owner of #95 it has 65000 k's and i replaced the standard walkie interior not long ago with the factory tweed because the upholsterer couldn't match the leather on the front seats as they were worn they were a mid 2 dark grey colour the back seats were in perfect condition still have all inserts in storage and the complete door trims which have perforated leather it is also the first build # fitted with most calais options (popup headlamp covers ,rear headrests full power options ,cruise control now in storage) so i think its one of the rarest have put most of the parts in storage may put it back 2 standard one day ,the car will be in street commodores mag soon ,any other questions just ask
cheers Paul
i will get some pics to u soon Craig

Yeah i was not to sure about the klms. It may have been the fake one that had 20,000 klm. Nice car anyway mate. Good to see two nice examples on display.
