$80,000 - $100,000.

Having had just the one registered owner from new, this fully documented HSV Group A SS was delivered to the Holden dealership in Wyong and remained a country car with the first owner until last year, with just 16,637 kilometres now showing on the clock. The current owner bought the car in 2007 and carefully stored it without ever registering the vehicle in his name. With build number 594 and a completion date of the 11th of August, 1988, the car spent many years stored in a dark garage and retains the original paintwork apart from some minor touch-ups to the lower fibreglass panels. The interior is spotless and still smells like a new car, with the upholstery, door trims, headlining and carpets all in showroom condition. The front spoiler has been removed to preserve its pristine condition and is included with the vehicle. The car sits on the original set up Bridgestone RE71 tyres with the spare in pristine condition. To be sold unregistered but with a Blue Slip supplied upon sale if sold in NSW, the car comes with the original log books, purchase receipts, a spare set of keys and alarm remote controls.

Nice car. Interesting to see what it goes for. many fords have hit there value limit according to the latest unique cars mag but they believe holdens and in particular group a's and gtsr's are yet to peak. But the curent market is all over the place. depends on auction night i guess.

Yes surely shannons have under estimated the value of this 1. Would be interesting to see what happens on the night.
I had a look on the net yesterday and there is quite a few walkys for sale with different ranging kms. Its a buyers world out there at the moment if you want a walky!

Have to agree that is a very reasonable price for 2 owner low km car

Shannons have a reputation of undervaluing cars to be safe. If there is a bit of interest in it. Im sure it will go higher.

I hope so, or I'm in fantasy land thinking my car was worth around the 80K mark :(

what are peoples thoughts at this walky being sold fo 87k?...where does this put other walkys being advertised at the moment that are in the same sort of kilometer bracket, but are still well over 100k?...interesting to note that there were a few pass ins aswell...gt's,torana,monaro etc...

I think with interest rates and the cost of living going up buyers are having reality checks. All of a sudden people aren't as cashed up and can't see the investment potential in them they did a year or so ago.

What you are willing to pay all depends on affordability. I feel alot of people like myself can't justify having 100K tied up in a toy for garage anymore.

Has the bubble burst???????

I don't think it has burst, but it's not going to climb like it did in the past 12-24 mths. Interest rates and cost of living is one thing, but it's like the property market. It will go up... then down a bit... steady and then up and the cycle will continue.

Was that the all up buy cost to the buyer or do you have to add buyers premium etc

Isn't it the seller whom pays to have it auctioned?

Gees though, quite an unexpected low price, the car looked great, it's fair to say that the market has softened, perhaps reversed? 87K for a car in this condition is surprising to say the least.

I've also got a mate who is stuggling to find a buyer for his XW GT, even at what he paid for it six months ago, these petrol and interst rate increases have certainly impacted your future risk on purchases.

While i agree the market has slowed. I still believe this car was sold way too cheap. But thats the way it is. Some people pay too much. Others get a bargain.I still believe they are undervalued compared to other holdens.
