View Full Version : Sold my car. Very sad day
Well i sold my car yesterday. Mixed feelings. Glad it sold as that is what i wanted but once the reality hit watching it get loaded on the tilt tray. That empty feeling crept in.She is of to a good home that will see the car probably lift even more in quality terms.I must say a huge thanks to Chester at musclecarstables.com.au. What a great bloke and he is someone i now call a good friend.he worked hard for me and was tested many times in ways i cant say on this forum. He put up with many time wasters but the whole time he remained level headed and fair to both parties. Thanks mate. I will be ringing you for my next purchase.
I will stay here on these forums as i as i find most people on here to be genuinely good people which is rare on forums. plus i will buy again. I am making a sacrifice in the short term to be better off in the long term.
Bloody hell my garage looks empty.

Probably would've been easier for you if it had sold very early in the piece, rather then having it siting there being in two minds whether to let it go...which it has, so congratulations on the sale Sly!
PS...your nuts exhaust lives on with me though ;) I can be heard at least a km away from home :)

Ha ha. Glad you still like the exhaust.Yeah i was in two minds about selling it at the start but a chat to chester help me answer a few questions. It took a while due to a false start and some other issues earlier on but all good now.She is of to a new home.

Thanks mate. Yeah it sucks not having a car but i will have another one again. I have the same dream as many and that is to own all the group A,s. Actually i am a part owner of a VN group A already but thats a long story.
I am making a sacrifice now and for the next few years so i can get back in down the track.

Not sure mate. He is aware of the site but im not sure if he plans to keep a low profile.
I know how you feel sly. I remember when I first had the idea of selling #001. It was about a year before i did sell. I had a few calls, and it really made me reconsider. 12 months on, I knew it was time to sell. I drove it (which usually makes me interested again) but it did nothing for me. Time to give it a new home. Im glad I didnt sell it earlier as I think I would have regretted the sale. But because I didnt, its been almost 17 months now and still no regret. But alot of that (for me) I guess is I know its got a great home. All I kept was pix I took over the years. All the history went with the car. I still have a framed photo of the build number in the loungeroom though. Just a little momento
