Saw this today:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HSV-VL-SS-GROUP-A-SV-WALKINSHAW_W0QQitemZ270304830106QQcmdZViewItemQQpt ZAU_Cars?hash=item270304830106&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

Would have to be a good buy, especially if he has all the original stuff with it.
I like the mods. I still today wonder why they didnt come with calais fronts OEM.

Cheers

Yeah that does look good. I guess they never came with the Calais front because most performance models are based on the lower model cars

I think this is the third time it's been up for auction, with the price being dropped each time it's relisted. Prices have certainly gone south over the past year, by a fair bit too.

I went on a cruze with that car. Very nice. I wish I had the spare cash to buy it myself.
I thought there was about seven released with that front?
Might have been told a load of crap.

Calais fronts were fitted by dealers, never by HSV

There is some debate about that.... One of the guys that was at the car show here in Perth on sunday, has a walky that has a calais front, and he got paperwork from HSV to say it was fitted at the factory... i haven't seen it myself yet.

I can beleive that... HSV did all sorts of funny things back when they first started. Look at your car craig, it's just not normal to have those options done at factory. There is a guy on CT who has a VN Group A wagon, and reckons he has all paper work from HSV to state that the 4 bolt main engine and twin throttle body manifold were fitted at HSV

Yeah there is a few cars popping up like that, but my paperwork is from 1988 BEFORE all the mods were done. I think alot of these other ones, are getting paperwork from HSV now, and I don't think that is as good as paperwork from 1988. or when the changes were actually made.

Yeah original paperwork is definatly better. I don't know why they would supply paperwork 20 years later

Looks like no-one even bid on it at $50K!

So how much has the price on Walky's dropped then?
30%? 50%?
It would suck if you needed the cash and were expecting top dollar.
Glad I'm not in that boat.:D

They have dropped in price, but so has everything else... people are being more cautious with their money...

THey are still wanted, but if you need to sell your walkinshaw, then it's not a good time... if you don't then you will be fine.
