There are 3 for sale in the Dec 31 edition of unique cars. All of them have the same mobile no in the private car ads, so I suspect it's a dealer, allthough it doesn't mention the business name if it is... I had a google of that mobile no, but coudln't come up with anything. Might ring the number and have a talk to them.

Pages 221 & 224

They are all in QLD:

#439 - 1,389kms

#600 sounds like the right car for me... but at the wrong time :(

... and a little too pricey for a modified one

600 sounds familiar. Im sure it was for sale a few years back. I remember it was sold then back on the market very quickly. Not sure why. Might be a different car but. They seem a bit pricey even for when things were red hot some time back.Bit different now.

#228 isn't a bad price is it? Although that car wouldn't sell for more than NZD$55k over hear at the moment

#600 has been in the scene for along time. The owner who did the mods also used to have a SV88 from memory. The mods were done along time before walkies became hot items.

#228 sounds familiar. Is it a Qld car? If it is, I may know the one

KMs are a bit high on #228. 2 x walkies in perth sold for $70k not long ago, and both had lower kms than that.... maybe they were a bit too cheap?

if theres a walky for inder 50k, ill do my best to snap it up :D dont think it have a problem with going to get a loan for that much for a walkie, im just spewing i didnt buy one for 20k a numer of years ago because i couldnt justify spending that much on a 20 yr old car, so a got my ute instead. i shoulda got the walkie :)
itll happen one day.

Is #600 the one that had a detailed engine bay with "WALKINSHAW" engraved into a stainless rad cover? It was for sale about a year ago

I think thats the one. Had some blue touches in the eng bay also like blue hoses or something. Cant remember. I had a chat to the guy who bought it a few years back as i was still looking at the time. He said he loved it but then i saw it on the market again a few months later. Maybe he wanted a original one as he saw the values climb.

It would be an awesome car if you were looking for something to have fun

But it's not worth $125k! Probably worth half of that!

I bought my walkie of a bloke from memory Robin Ohair, he was the owner of 600 and had done all the mods, he put it up for sale, and ended up trading in on the walkie i have now he was high up in the HSV club at the time, and yes he also had a SV88 which he bought brand new, and also a very neat plus pack and the time the walkie i now have, he was selling up to buy that speacial merc that Mick Doohan raced in Tas and crashed, they repaired it and the asking price was around the 750k but i dont no if he ended up with it or not.

Owners are a couple in the Qld HSV/HDT club they had 6 Walkies at one stage, they were keeping them as their retirement fund, looks like its time to start relaxing, they are very nice and genuine people.

Gee, it's doubled the price in a couple of years...in all honesty, it's not worth that much more than the price it sold for in AMCS. It's been heavily modified to say the least.

Would be an awesome car to own... not as a collectable
