G'day, Whats the original colour of the Walkinshaw rims? Going to get mine resprayed and the lips polished, just want to know whats the original colour/paint code for them!?!

i'm pretty sure they don't have a colour. Just clear coat over the aluminium.

The centres are painted but it is a lighter silver by the look of it

Yeah they dont look like body colour and it looks like its painted silver and not cleared over the alloy.

I don't actually know... its more of a light gun metal grey, with a clear coat over the top, and lightly polished outer lip.

I stripped my spare wheel to repaint it and only clear coat came off

No worries then, I might just get them soda blasted, polish the lip then just spray the clear over!

yeah I was surprised that no paint came off too cos I thought they were painted. I fairly certain that my spare is original cos it still has an RE71 fitted although I have been wrong once before.
